Unstruck Melody, Installation & Film

Saturday 5 April, 11:00am — 5:00pm
*Sunday 6 April, 12:00pm — 2:00pm

Without Shape Without Form and artist Nirbhai (Nep) Singh Sidhu present an installation aiming to create moments of self-discovery, provoking a curiosity of the internal sound – Unstruck Melody – by exploring inner barriers to stillness and an active practice of compassion, humility and generosity in everyday life.

The installation features life-size extracts from a newspaper and a film, originally created for the exhibition Unstruck Melody at the V&A, London 2023.

At the heart of this is Simran – quietening the mind through focused repetition to achieve greater clarity. Other practices include Seva (selfless service) and Sangat (community), all of which derive from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, a compilation of sacred texts spanning over five hundred years that offer insight and practical applications.

Art of Balance, Talk & Workshop

Saturday 5 April, 12:00pm — 1:00pm

An inspiring talk by Deep K Kailey, a multidisciplinary Artistic and Creative Director, sharing her journey to unlocking the art of balance, where self-discovery, aspirations and external expectations intersect.

The former Condé Nast fashion director who went from styling iconic global figures to demystifying the understanding of the mind to contemporary audiences around the globe as the artistic director and co-founder of Without Shape Without Form, an arts organisation bringing together art, spirituality and mind wellbeing. Deep’s work is a testament to the power of creativity and its ability to connect people and inspire self-discovery in our increasingly uncertain and fragmented world.

Following the talk will be a creative mind workshop, designed to help visitors learn how to quieten down the mind while approaching everyday tasks and challenges.

Food and conversation to follow.
