Take back control of your mind
Simran
Simran is a focused practice for the mind through which thoughts can be eliminated to establish inner peace, resilience and the ability to take control of the mind.
We may not be aware, but the mind is constantly in pain - from waves of sadness to waves of anxiety. With Simran, this pain can be alleviated by eradicating its origin - our thoughts.
What do thoughts have to do with it?
We all know the impact of overthinking and having racing thoughts. Our thoughts can be disabling and can prevent us from moving forward. Our thoughts can act as a barrier, stopping us from obtaining mental clarity. With a clearer mind, we can function more effectively and efficiently.
Our thoughts are our biggest barrier

How to do Simran
Technique
Close your eyes and listen to yourself repeating the Gurmantar (or a neutral 2-syllable word) out loud, placing your full focus on the sound of your own voice.
Try it out
Get comfortable and try it for a few minutes. See how it makes you feel. Even if you get distracted by a noise outside or thoughts inside, bring your focus back to the sound of your own voice.
Reflect
Ask yourself 'Was I able to really focus?' Chances are, the mind was distracted by thoughts, some of which may have been negative.
Practice makes perfect
With practice, the aim is to repeat your chosen word with every breath in order to unlock the human potential and free the mind from thoughts.
