What does being mind-strong mean to you?

Being mind-strong means having the ability to choose my response to whatever is happening around me and not be overwhelmed by the challenges I face.

I like to think I’ve found ways to ‘exercise’ my mind to make it strong, and I do this exercise every day—constantly strengthening my mind.

Never lying or never gossiping again?

Both can be so juicy! But both also do harm to everyone involved—I steer clear!

What have you discovered about yourself in the last year?

I discovered that I am exactly where I am supposed to be—on time for every detail, interaction, opportunity, missed turn, new relationship, the distance between some and the connection to others. There is purpose in everything around us, and I finally see it. These, plus more, play at the same time—some louder than others, depending on what’s happening.

If your thoughts made noises, what would they be?

I think my thoughts make distinct noises:

Laaaaaalaaaaa la la la laaaaaaa – when I’m happy.

Hmmmmmm hmmmm hmmmmmmm – when I’m content.

Duuun duun da (Darth Vader Imperial March tune) – when my thoughts are dramatic.

A busy day is when all these noises, plus more, play at the same time—some louder than others, depending on what’s happening.

What change would you want the world to focus on?

To stop hate—the hate that has allowed genocides to continue happening over and over again, to justify murder, to discriminate, to harm, and to make it acceptable to violate others.
